It seems that Manhattan coffeeshop D’Espresso likes books…a lot. Located near the New York Public Library, the inspiration comes probably from there for the decor.

So, they almost took  a library and flipped it on its side.

Confusing when you step in but mind blowing achievement. The “books” are actually tiles printed with sepia-toned photos of bookshelves at a local travel bookstore that ring the room, including the floor, walls and ceiling. The “floor” is the left-hand wall with a dark hardwood herringbone pattern.
